Important rule amendments

It has been decided by committee vote that age classification of a 'junior' shall be increased from 13-16 to 13-17 years inclusive.

All anglers under the age of 18 must have a responsible adult with them at all times when fishing SAA waters.

In line with safeguarding guidelines, this decision has been made to help our young anglers stay safe on the banks.

Additionally the committee have also decided that the use of treble hooks at Embsay will be temporarily banned. The decision has been taken in line with our fish care guidelines to improve the welfare of our various trout.

These are temporary rulings (effective immediately), until they can be put to vote at the next AGM.

Canal shared scheme

It should be noted that the canal shared scheme with Keighley Angling Club is not open to anyone banned from either clubs waters.
